Toronto, Ontario, Aug. 30, 2022 - TWINING, the social innovation movement established to increase underrepresented BIPOC employment in the Greater Toronto Area and Canada nationwide, has partnered with WCG Services, a Canadian human resources consulting firm that partners with local employers to create sustainable employment opportunities for people and businesses.
TWINING is a developing organization catalyzing high-performing diverse teams in Toronto and the country. It came from a corporate DEI peer-to-peer workshop series that evolved into a citizen-led social innovation program specific to the city. Together with founder organizations CINTA & Co. and HueMax Recruitment, TWINING is a social innovation movement that embraces the strategy of empowering the community from the ground up while facilitating leadership opportunities and advocating for real impact.
WCG Services is a Canadian human resources consulting firm headquartered in British Columbia that shares the same organizational goals as TWINING. Both aim to embrace the true virtues of DEI fully and are committed to achieving an equitable workplace and representative of a diverse Canadian society. WCG Services was established to attract and retain employees of diverse backgrounds with exceptional abilities.
As an organization, WCG has localized its services and offerings across the country. In Ontario, it has partnered with Employment Ontario and is provincially known as WCG Employment Ontario. “We are very pleased to announce this partnership between TWINING and WCG Services,” says Leroy Briggs, founder of HueMax Recruitment. “By pairing our services with what WCG already offers, we hope to make Canadian organizations more competitive by adding colour, texture, and strength. We hope to empower underrepresented BIPOC employees to thrive within a stronger business ecosystem, improve the social capital of their racialized communities, and improve the economic well-being of job-seeking members from said communities.”
HueMax is a full-service recruitment agency with a key focus on social impact. Its ultimate goal is to uplift and empower BIPOC employees and make hiring them an easy and intelligent decision. Founder Leroy Briggs established HueMax in 2020 after seeing the disproportionate unemployment rate for Black job seekers and sought to make an impact from there.
